Unlimited Wordle: Free 5 & 6 Letter Word Puzzles, Anytime

What Is Unlimited Wordle?

Unlimited Wordle is a free browser word-guessing game built around the same rules as the original Wordle, but without the one-puzzle-a-day restriction. Every time you finish a round — win or lose — the board resets with a new random word, so you can play as many rounds as you want in one sitting.

The game has two modes. 5-letter mode matches the classic Wordle format most players already know. 6-letter mode uses longer words, which opens up more possible letter combinations and makes each round noticeably harder to crack. Switching between them takes one click at the top of the board, and your win/streak stats carry over across both modes.

Beyond the game itself, this site includes a Wordle Helper for when you're stuck on a specific puzzle (this one or any other Wordle-style game), and a small set of strategy guides written for players who want to improve rather than just pass the time.

How to Play

Type a guess and press Enter (or tap the on-screen keyboard on mobile). After each guess, every tile changes color to tell you how close you were:

Example — guessing CRANE CRANE

You get 6 guesses to find the word, in both 5-letter and 6-letter mode. Use the color feedback from each guess to eliminate letters and positions before your next attempt. If a letter appears more than once in your guess, the coloring reflects exactly how many times it appears in the answer — for example, if you guess a word with two E's but the answer only has one, only one of the two E tiles will light up.

Wordle Strategy

These are general habits that make any Wordle-style puzzle easier, in either word length:

Open with a letter-diverse word

Your first guess can't be "correct" by luck very often, so its real job is to gather information. A word with five or six different, common letters (a mix of vowels and consonants) tells you more than a word with repeated or rare letters. Compare a word like STARE to a word like ISSUE — STARE tests five distinct common letters, while ISSUE wastes guesses testing the same letter twice.

Don't waste your second guess confirming what you already know

If your first guess produced two grays and a yellow, your second guess should test new letters, not repeat letters you've already placed or eliminated. Treat guesses two and three as more information-gathering, not just attempts at the final answer, unless you already have three or more greens.

Handle repeated letters deliberately

If you suspect a letter appears twice (for example, you have a yellow "S" but no gray "S" yet), it's often worth testing that letter in a second position in a later guess rather than assuming it only appears once. See our full guide on repeated letters for worked examples.

Narrow down instead of guessing blind

Once you have a few greens and yellows, resist the urge to guess a random word that "feels right." Mentally (or with the Wordle Helper) filter the alphabet down to letters that are still possible in each open position, and pick a guess that fits your constraints while still testing an unused letter if you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Unlimited Wordle?

Unlimited Wordle is a free browser word-guessing game inspired by the original Wordle. Instead of one puzzle per day, you can play as many rounds as you like, in either 5-letter or 6-letter mode.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes. There is no daily limit. Every time you finish a round, a new random word is chosen and you can start again immediately.

What is the difference between 5-letter and 6-letter mode?

5-letter mode matches the classic Wordle format. 6-letter mode uses longer words, which increases the number of possible letter combinations and generally makes each puzzle harder to solve.

How many guesses do I get?

You get 6 guesses in both 5-letter and 6-letter mode.

What do the tile colors mean?

Green means the letter is correct and in the right position. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position. Gray means the letter is not in the word at all.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no sign-up or account. Your streak and stats are saved locally in your browser (localStorage), not on a server.

Is Unlimited Wordle free to play?

Yes, the game is completely free with no paywalls.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The board and on-screen keyboard resize automatically for phones, tablets, and desktop screens.

What if I'm stuck on a puzzle?

Use the free Wordle Helper tool to enter the letters you already know and filter down to the words that could still be the answer.
